The pressures of life can get on top of us before we realise what is happening. This can lead to stress, anxiety, panic attacks, fears, phobias, depression, sleep disturbance, dependencies and many other difficulties. This can become a vicious circle - our behaviours and negative thought patterns increase our stress levels and make the symptoms of that stress more acute, which in turn reinforces those negative behaviours and thought patterns. I use a combination of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming to work with you, to help find effective and long lasting solutions to these and other difficulties.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is safe, natural, practical and suitable for all ages and many different conditions. It has been approved for use by the British Medical Association for over 50 years. Hypnotherapy is an extremely effective method for making positive changes and permanent life changes. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy combines cutting edge method of psychotherapy called Solution Focused brief Therapy with Clinical Hypnotherapy to create a powerful modern technique that can transform our lives quickly and effectively.

Through focusing on the present and moving forward positively we can achieve major changes and improvements through gaining control of our thoughts, our feeling and our behaviour.

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the bringing together of the conscious and sub-conscious minds in a trance state. A perfectly natural form of relaxation. Clients often comment about how "ordinary" Hypnosis feels - it is not unlike daydreaming - you can often hear everything that is being said whilst in a deeply relaxed state. No one can be hypnotised against their will. We drift in and out of different levels of awareness such as when we daydream, just before going to sleep and sometimes we can travel on a journey and not remember all of it. You are fully in control and you cannot be made to do anything against your will. You will be aware of everything that is happening and being said. You will not say or do anything against your will.

It is important for you to know how I can help you before you decide to go ahead and I therefore offer a free initial consultation. If you would like to proceed, each session is approximately 50 minutes and usually takes place at weekly intervals. The number of sessions required will vary according to each individual and what we are working to achieve.
